Yes. JobHunt with Hope is completely free and open-source under the MIT license. There is no paid tier, no account, and no credit card — you use the AI agent you already have.

Yes. Your career facts live in a single file on your own computer. There is no tracking and no account. Nothing leaves your machine except the portfolio page you explicitly choose to publish.

No. Hope fills forms and drafts messages, then stops. You press send, every time: every email, every LinkedIn message, every application. If you ever want Hope to click submit on one application, you have to say so for that one, and it shows you the final review first.

Read-only. During your morning sync, Hope reads your email and your LinkedIn messages so your tracker stays current. It never sends, replies to, forwards, archives or deletes an email. On LinkedIn it never messages, likes, comments, connects or follows. It works in the browser you are already signed into, and it never types your password.

No. Every number, date, title and outcome comes from your career file, your application profile, or your own words. If something is not on file, Hope asks you. When you correct it, Hope writes the correction down that day, so the same mistake does not come back.

No coding is required. You talk to your AI agent in plain language and it builds the portfolio and resume for you.

It works with the AI agents most people already use, including ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. You can install it as a Claude plugin, or point any capable assistant at the open skills.

Yes. Hope 2.0 was written so Claude Sonnet can run every step. Each skill has short, numbered steps, exact file names, and a check after each one. Small scripts do the mechanical parts, like updating your tracker or saving a job posting, so the model does not have to guess.

A whole job hunt, not just documents: a designed portfolio website with a playable career timeline, a recruiter-ready resume (CV) that survives applicant tracking systems, one free shareable link in your name, a shortlist of real openings matched to you, applications filled for you to send, every message drafted in your voice, prep and a debrief for each interview, and one tracker you own.

Yes. Say "find me jobs." Hope sweeps job boards through their own data feeds and reads each full job description, not just the title. It screens out what breaks your rules (your pay floor, titles you don't want, too many live applications at one company) and skips anything already in your tracker. You get a shortlist file with an honest fit line for each role, and you pick. It also tells you what the sweep could not see, so you know where else to look.

It does everything except press send. Give Hope a job link. It saves the posting, makes a folder for the role, and fills the form in your browser while you watch. It writes down every answer it entered and every one it left for you, like legal checkboxes, salary if you prefer, and relocation. Then it stops at submit, and you review and press send. By default it keeps you to two live applications per company, for the same kind of role. LinkedIn Easy Apply and Indeed stay guide-only: Hope tells you what to enter, and you click.

The moment a call is on your calendar, Hope tells you to record it and sets a reminder for 10 minutes before, with your prep inside. It writes a prep file: three things to land, where you overlap with the role, your honest gaps, and two questions to ask. After the call, give Hope the recording. It transcribes it on your machine, writes a debrief question by question, and drafts a follow-up for you to send. One note: in some places everyone on a call must agree to be recorded, so Hope reminds you to check.

A spreadsheet in your hunt folder, called job-tracker.xlsx. One row per role: its status, the next action, and dated notes. Hope updates it as you work and backs it up before every change. Ask "where do I stand?" or "what needs me?" any time. It's yours to open, sort and edit. It replaced the dashboard.

Hope tells you the truth, kindly. Every role it finds or fills comes with an honest fit read: where your case is strong, where the gaps are, and what the posting says about sponsorship. You spend your applications where your case is real, and you know what to prepare. So when the interview comes, you walk in ready.

They retired in 2.0. In a real four-month hunt, they never got used as separate steps. Their best idea, an honest fit read, now comes with every role in Find jobs and Apply. The tracker spreadsheet replaced the dashboard. Their files are kept in the project's roadmap folder on GitHub, so nothing is lost.
